From January 1, 2019, all Chinese goods entering Australia will be exempt from customs duties.

It is reported that at the Import Expo on November 5th to 10th, according to the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement, since 2015, China and Australia have carried out four tariff reductions, and the goods imported from Australia began to gradually reduce tariffs. Zero tariffs will be realized within 5 years. From January 1, 2019, China and Australia will carry out the fifth round of concessions.

Simon Birmingham, Australian Minister of Trade, Tourism and Investment, said: "From January 1, 2019, after 8 weeks, all Chinese goods entering Australia will be exempt from customs duties. China will also cancel the import fair. Customs tariffs on a range of Australian products, including wine, infant formula and honey."
