Foreign media said that the US government has opened up a new front in trade and technology disputes with China. The US Commerce Department said it has included Fujian Jinhua Integrated Circuit Co., Ltd. in the "list of entities" that restrict exports of US products, software and technology, on the grounds that the company's ability to produce new memory chips will threaten US military system chips. The survivability of suppliers poses a “significant risk” to the United States.
